I'm mildly surprised he didn't take on O'Halloran after the big guy retired Ali's brother Rahman. The angle of fraternal revenge against the giant white boy would have sold it. Jack had some decent wins. It would be interesting to have him compare the power of Norton, Lyle, Big Cat, Foreman and Mac Foster (taking on the latter two in back to back knockout defeats). He's active on-line, so he may well have already addressed some of these boxing related questions from fans. (I don't do facebook myself, and possibly never will.)

When Jerry Quarry knocked Bodell out in one round in London,a reporter asked Jerry after the fight "did you find Bodell awkward?" Quarry replied "Well he sure fell awkward!"

Not against the tough Ali we never saw in 68-69. Granted a good fight and a tough fight for Ali but fairly easier than the FOTC IMO.

That's why the Louisville Sponsoring Group avoided him.

Harold was 'on-the-list' to fight Sonny Liston in September 1963.

frazier would lose v 1967/8 ali. with no exile he woulda gotten better not worse and in his last fight v folley he was showing one shot accurate timing ko's. ali actually had a great ko record before exile.

Frazier was more hungry than ali and he holds a stylistic advantage due to the sum of his parts.

There are plenty of things that could happen in 2 years. But the only way Clay would stand a real chance against Frazier was if he fought him early in his career, unexperienced. All the dancing and running in the world wouldn't really help Ali in my opinion, since Joe was good enough to get past his jab, and had the power to end Clay's night for good with a single left hook.
