Default Grant's quality is upsetting.

I bought the Grant Pro Training gloves for christmas, and was extremely excited to use them. My first impression was great, I LOVED those damn things.. but 2 weeks into using them the interior ripped inside them. I sent them back for an exchange and got a new pair.

After 1 workout in them, the stitching on the side was already coming off... WHAT THE ****...

Will post pics later.

My ringsides have lasted for like seven years. I do think the Grants are nice looking and comfortable gloves, but yeah, that is just too lame for a contact sport. They're almost too nice to hit a bag with, its like a favorite toy you never take out of the box because you know its going to break.

I had a pair of Grant bag gloves I used for probably 7 years, but all of a sudden, the leather just wore out on the striking surface and cracked up... They were my favorite gloves, and they're just torn to shit now.

Ringside gloves (sparring gloves and bag gloves) have always done well- Made well and tough.

It sucks to pay that much for a product and have it turn out to be shit. That's why I mainly stick to the most professional and best models title and ringside have... Just as good.

rival is made in china. as far as grant, i thought they made a quality product out of mexico? they probably have some products made in china . its really hard to gauge where these companies are sourcing their material and labor from. chances are you all using gloves made from a sweat shop.

I have used all kinds of gloves, and all have their level of comfort. Some have better "shells", other have a better fit. But for me, Everlast has THE BEST Wrist Protection and Comfort on ANY Boxing Gloves I have ever used (Sparring, Bag Work and Fight Gloves)...LOVE IT!!!!

I think I've had these since 2006, probably about a year of consistent use in there.

Did you order them from grant themselves? I ordered mine from boxingdepot, so maybe they get the lowend ones?

Guys there is something going on in China. I think this is cropping up in the quality of our gloves.

It is getting more and more expensive to manufacture there. This is resulting in orders being canceled or transferred to less skilled production teams. You will probably start seeing lower end gloves not made in China and only high volume or high quality (really price) gloves made in China.

Might be time to splurge on those Winnings...
