This fight seems likely to happen at some point, possibly as a title shot eliminator.
My gut feeling is that Sonnen dominates him. What do you think?

Chael takes this easy imo. Bisping hasnt got the power or the sub game to finish it. Bisping's got good ability to scramble back to his feet but Sonnen is relentless in his takedowns

bisping showed decent defense on the ground against wanderlei and that lad he beat before i forget his name. I see this being Sonnen taking him down again and again with little damage winning a UD

I'm in agreement with most everyone else. Unless Bisping improves his takedown defense, or becomes a submission wizard, I don't give him much of a chance here.
Submission wizard? What mental image do you have after reading that? Last edited by rekcutnevets; 03-12-2011 at 12:26 PM. |

Bisping could do him in the stand up. He has decent movement and versatile striking.
Sonnen has sick wrestling and is tenacious as fuck BUT don't sleep on Bispings jits. His defensive jits is very good. With the right fight he could outpoint him. Plus, everyone has to know that no matter how good Sonnen is at wrestling, he is suspect as shit to a sub. |
