Name a fighter who, for one reason or another, that you didn't like and for some reason besides all of a sudden winning (no bandwagoners) you became a fan. Mine is Miguel Cotto. I didn't like him because of the shady tactics in the Judah fight where he resorted to numerous low blows to nullify Judah's offense and the Mosley fight when he spit out his mouthpiece to get out of trouble from Mosley. I even rooted for Margarito big time when they fought and was happy that he lost. But upon rewatching that fight and seeing the sheer boxing ability and just watching the heart he puts into his fights plus the fact that he has fought a very high level of competition for a while I have become a real fan. He is an excellent boxer and always makes for a fight worth paying for. Thoughts?

I used to fuckin hat Amir Khan but after Prescott beat him I became a fan oddly enough. Realised his mistake and went away to America to fix his career. Great attitude to the sport.

Paul Williams, because of his honesty. I used to think he was a hypejob until I saw some of his interviews and realised that he was a hard working honest fighter who did not make excuses.

It used to be Victor Ortiz, and then, after a while, I went with everyone else and decided he was an idiot.
Jermain Taylor though is one fighter that I never really liked that much but has grown on me over time. |

I'd say Carl Froch. When I first saw him it was against Jermaine Taylor, and Froch came off after that fight as very cocky and arrongant. If he hadn't gotten that KO, then Taylor would have won on points. He looked amateurish at best, he just had decent power. Now he has evolved into a full-fledged boxer. He showed great ability against Kessler and also against Abraham. He has developed nicely and in return he has totally gained my respect as well as made me a fan.
