...possesses the best left hand (southpaw or orthodox) in boxing history (whether it be a straight left, left hook, left hook to body, etc)?
Now, who in your opinion possesses the best right hand (" ") in boxing history (" ")? You should now have two boxers from those questions I asked, if you havn't...you have gone wrong somewhere. ![]() Anyway, you have two boxers, said boxers could be from any weight class. Weight being irrelevant, who wins in a match-up P4P? And also, who wins the battle of the best...erm...hand?

![]() Just trying to inject some originality (if not originality, some refreshness) into the forum. People arguing the same arguments over and over again is becoming quite boring...and whilst they are doing that, actual interesting boxing threads get ignored. People may not find this type of thread interesting, fair enough...but I've seen it numerous times when interesting threads don't get a second look because someone called their favourite boxer a steriod user or coward, and they feel the need to defend that person for the next 2 hours. Then repeat. |

I found myself favouring people who threw good jabs and lead hooks rather than people who threw the straight left/right just because fighters for me with solid jabs and lead hooks stood out more, but I decided to give the straight left/right its due and included that in my choice. In the end I went with:
Left Hand: Sugar Ray Leonard. The guy seemed perfect for this in my opinion. He had a left hook with one punch knockout power, it was the punch that won him his biggest fight against Thomas Hearns it was that powerful. His jab too was a thing of beauty. Right Hand: Roberto Duran. Was going to go with Thomas Hearns but I thought we would be inundated with calls of Hearns having the best right in the game. Roberto right is severely underrated. He was landing hard hurtful shots with his right all the way up to 160. An incredible feat for a man whose best days where at 135. |
