FIrst: don't tell people on this site to "have more respect" for anyone. No matter what, they will not and they will be jerk-faces for you even suggesting it.

Second: I dont care who wins this fight as long as its a good fight.

Third: If Mosley gets knocked out I would be shocked, but not sad. This is boxing.

I dont think that there is another fighter in boxing today who has taken as many punches in grueling title fights than Shane Mosley against the caliber of opponent he has fought.
While Mosley is clearly past it, Jones is shot to shit and Hopkins is older than Kiefer Sutherland.

not really. The guy knows what hes getting in to and should have retired a while back. Besides he will make millions for this fight. No need to feel sorry.

It's difficult to feel sorry for BALCO Mosley. He has cheated too many times.

Shane's a decent man and a good fighter but he's made too many execution errors in and out the ring to truly class on top. Put it this way, no one is more mentally ready to lose than Shane Mosley. And when you can't shake that mentality it's probably time to get out the game. But a Gatti-Ward style triology would be great!

NO because he knows at age 40, he is far past his prime, he can't seriously think that he isn't, in 07 he lost to Cotto due to age, than in 2010 and 2011 he fights guys that are completely superior to Cotto, he has to know he doesn't have a chance here.

It would not be good to watch a guy like Shane lose badly. He has been a good fighter and always comes across as a nice bloke.
I dont think he will win but I dont think it will be a beatdown either.I dont think he would take the fight if he thought it was going to end with him going out on the back of a KO.

i'm a big fan of both fighters.

but to be sad?? hell no!!! its a digital thing. all boxers/fighters are either meant to win or to lose/ko.

Looking at his past fights and age, he will get demolished that's why Pac ppl chose him.

My concern for shane is that his reflexes did not look good in the mayweather fight. He was really struggling with the speed. I hope he gets some really fast sparring partners. Aside from that i see him going the distance at least. This might be one where mosley simply gets overwhelmed from all the activity from manny and nazim is forced to step in. Still, im eagerly waiting to see how pacquiao will react to shanes legit power and speed, and we all know he will have his chances to land.

After KO'ing Marg to get undisputed welter title again, I dont think there is anything left for him to answer. Feels good when you are a life long fan and the fighter actually delivers. And for a guy that should be at 135 - 140, it really is a testament to his ability.

So no, I wont be sad. And he wont be either after this payday.

I generally dislike being confronted by notions of "what could have been" while watching a shell of a once great fighter get punished for his overabundant faith in his own abilities.
