I've got a pair of mexican style handwraps. Are these machine washable? How do you guys wash them? I've just never gotten to washing them and thought it was about time now.

Excellent question. If you're talking about the Le Roy Venda Elastica brand (in the yellow plastic wrap) you are letting yourself in for a world of pain and hurt if you stick them in the washing machine. They will tie themselves into every knot known to man and if there's clothing in there as well the wraps will tie it all together.
Trust me, its not a pretty sight. Instead, rinse them in the sink a couple of times and then roll them up tight while damp, stretching them out as you do so. This takes the elasticity out of the wraps and prevents them binding up when you put them on. |

I stick them in a sock. One wrap for one sock. Tie off the end of the sock. Works pretty well. Sometimes it takes a couple washes, if you're like me and let them go a really really long time without washing them.

wtf @ this thread? I just throw them in with the rest and they come out clean. Do you people smell your wraps before each punch or something?
