Default What weight do you think Jones rehydrates to by fight-time?

Looked huge in the cage with Rua, and strong as an ox too.

What do you think? 220ish? More? Less?

Not sure. Id probably say around 220 though as he's a very slim guy and doesn't seem to put on alot of weight in between fights.

Probably around 220, which isn't horribly uncommon for LHW's.

They said that he cut from under 220 to make weight for this fight. I don't think he's nearly as big as some people make him out to be. Did you see the size of his legs compared to Shogun's? Rua's were literally twice as big. He's tall and has a freakish reach, but there are a lot of guys at LHW who cut just as much if not more weight than he does.

This is exactly right. He carries most of his weight in his upper body. He looks a lot heavier than he is.

Yep, its the combination of having skinny but seemingly powerful legs, being a bit skinny, on top of having a huge mans frame, flexibility and natural fighting ability on top of a great skill set to fit his frame.

Id say just 220 but you can tell with his frame and being only 23 this kid wont be at 205 forever. Within a couple years he could build himself up into a legit Heavyweight.

Griffin and Rampage have been known to come down from as high as 250lbs.

Eduardo Alonso:

Shogun isn't light as people think, his bones are big and his legs are heavy. When he is off he goes up to 230, sometimes a bit more. On fight night I would guess he will be about 215
The weight difference wasn't massive.

the difference for me was that jones weight was a solid, athletic 205 whereas rua looked underconditioned....

I'll bet he's 230-240, most wrestlers who have been cutting weight there whole life don't have a prob cutting big amounts of weight. Anthony Johnson get's up to 220 before he get's to 170, Dan Hardy get's over 200 before he get's to 170. Even Anderson goes between 215-220. 220 is nothing for a guy to cut to 205 if he is used to weight cutting.
