No, watch the fight again. He really exerted himself trying sweep Jones after he got taken down first time. He was straining so hard that he practically turned purple. Then, he got the living shit smashed out of him when he was trying to stand back up. I think that most of the other guys in the division would have been KTFO after the first three minutes of that fight.

Jones was literally pressuring him the entire time. Even when he was resting a bit on the ground, he was grinding his elbow into Shogun's stomach, smothering his mouth/nose, and leaning with his forearm into his neck.

He sounds like he is punch drunk,its hard to say because its always a bit hard to understand some of what the Ruas brothers say,but this is something else.

Ninja has taken some beatings in his career. He hasn't been the same since Sergei beat him brutally. I don't even understand Portuguese and I can tell that he sounds a little bit off.

I can usually get the gist of what person who's speaking Portuguese is saying because my Spanish is pretty decent, and both languages are pretty close. However, Aeolus is right about Ninja sounding punch drunk. Almost everything he said was slurred together. I could barely make anything out.

What boggles the mind is that Rua really thought his BJJ would work against Jones. He didnt even want to strike, he wanted the takedown immediately, took a knee and then proceeded to get slammed instead. Now when Jones is on top of you, you'll gas just trying to defend, hes that active on top. And precisely what I said, Shogun uses the turtle guard alot and he got punished. He tired to go for the arm that didnt work, tried to fend Jones off, tried to sweep. By the time that episodes over, he was gassed.
