Expect to see Ibeabuchi-Tua listed in this thread several times.I don't understand it myself, but alot of people seem to enjoy the fight.Personally, the fight was a huge letdown for me.I waited several years after it had already taken place, heard such rave reviews for this fight in that time, and when I finally got around to watching it,I just couldn't - and,to this day, still can't - see what all the fuss was about.

holyfield vs dokes wasn't in the 90s..it was in the 80s
Mike Tyson vs Razor Ruddock II - the second fight is prolly the most underrated out of Tyson's fights - foul filled and violent; last time Tyson would go the distance..fight ruined Razor to me but thats my opinion
George Foreman vs Alex Stewart - arguably the worst beating in George's career; lets Stewart off the hook after knocking him down twice in the 2nd round and is severely beaten up for it
David Tua vs Ike Ibeabuchi - 2 in shape iron chinned heavies bombing away for 12 rounds smiling taking each other's big shots...never seen anything like this
Lennox Lewis vs Shannon Briggs - a good old fashioned macho slugfest; Briggs comes close to dropping Lewis in the first round, rocks him in the 2nd round, before Lewis fires back with great power punching to stop Briggs..my favorite Lewis fight of all time
David Izon vs Derrick Jefferson - Jefferson gives Izon, in hindsight, a severe career ending beating, so thorough that he tires himself out and Izon was able to stop him late...both men were done after this
Hasim Rahman vs Corrie Sanders - in the vein of Lewis vs Briggs
Lamon Brewster vs Sergei Lyakovhich - the last heavyweight title fight to date worth a damn and that I consider classic....neither man was the same after this war
Lamon Brewster vs Wlad Klitschko I - Classic come from behind stoppage by Lamon who absorbed some serious punishment by Wlad who tired out early
Riddick Bowe vs Andrew Golota II - Violent, foul filled, bloody....end of Bowe as a top heavyweight but he went out with a bang
Evander Holyfield vs Michael Moorer II - Last great fight of Evander IMO as he dominates Moorer scoring 5 kd's and stopping him
Ray Mercer vs Lennox Lewis - This should be a loss for Lewis as I thought Mercer outworked him still doesn't take away from how great the fight was
Tommy Morrison vs Razor Ruddock - Tommy coming close to being ko'ed from an out of shape ruddock drops him with a vintage left hook and stopping a couple moments later
Riddick Bowe vs Herbie Hide - Surprisingly entertaining scrap with Hide wobbling him several times before tiring and being taken out
Lennox Lewis vs Frank Bruno - Bruno outboxing Lewis all of the fight and was going in for the finish in round 7 before his chin let him down once again with a wild left hook that from Lewis that connected flush
Tim Witherspoon vs Jose Luis Gonzales - Although bowe beat him it was expected as Bowe was still a top fighter but an aging out of shape former heavyweight champion taking him out even quicker was hilarious to me...also really exposed how amateurish gonzales really was getting with overhand rights over and over during the fight
i may add more as i can remember

Well it's not surprising considering Tyson broke 2 of his ribs with devestating body-punches, broke his jaw & gave him a horribly swollen welt under his eye...

"Since he Retired in 2001 when asked about his Boxing career he stated his fights with Tyson took everything out of him and believed they also finished Tyson insisting both he and Tyson were never the same after those fights."

Well fair enough...but Sports Illustrated confirmed the perforated eardrum, & Tyson-Holy was called off in November '91 due to Mike's broken ribs...either he got those broken ribs from "doing situps" like he claimed, or much more plausibly they were still (somewhat) broken from Ruddock's devestating nukes to his body from their June rematch.

if only the first tyson ruddock fight would have been allowed to run its course. then there wouldn't have been a rematch, and tyson would have got a shot at holyfield in '91. these small circumstances can have major consequences.
