Default If Hatsu Hioki was in the UFC....

How would he get on? Danas disdain for people only sucessful in Japan wouldn't see him jump into a fight with Aldo straight away I'm sure.

But against say, Chad Mendez? How would he fare in the UFCs 145lb division and do you think he'd be any match for Aldo? How do you think he'd be brought along?

Not a thread with much substance I admit, but thoughts/opinions please Lads

His most recent against Marlon Sandro.

Hioki is one of the best FW's in the world. I would love to see him in the UFC.

Hatsu Hioki outstruck hominick in their second fight, but different style of striking between Hominick and Aldo.

His striking is not good enough to hang with Aldo especially in the power department so he would have to be creative with his takedowns which he is. If Hatsu Hioki gets top position he seems to have good top control and works on position advancement with patience. Its highly likely that he could win if he is able to take Aldo to the ground.

Can he get aldo to the ground before he is brutally ko'd, a very difficult challenge.

I dont see a fight against Jose Aldo ending in victory for Hioki.

Cheers guys.
He certainly is a handful on the ground, literally had Hominic tied up in knots. I loved the armbar escape and his reversal to get to mount in the 1st round. Of course Im basing this on just one fight but I think your spot on Yaca. He's not the most powerful striker and his shot & gnp looked pretty weak, but he'll make Aldo work hard to connect with his shots, he's unpredictable and on the move constantly. And if he can get close enough to Aldo to tie him up, maybe he can force it too the ground.

But I cant see him beating Aldo but I'll definately be on the look out for him in future and would love to see him work on his weakness' before he signs for the UFC. Maybe train with Yushin, I think that would be perfect for him to prepare for the more wrestling orientated UFC(If he doesnt already)
