Not a bad fight. Nice 1 punch KO. I have hope Sergei yet...................I always liked his lead right to the body. Who else can land that punch effectively & regularly?

Pfff.... I don't like his chance against Haye one bit. I reckon Haye could circle the slower moving Liakhovich and tag him with power shots whenever he wants. Maybe I'm being negative here, he does have a great chin after all, but I'd fancy his chances better against an Adamek or Chambers. Povetkin would outwork him. Chagaev would be an interesting one. It would tell us a lot about the winner of that fight

Sergei should get a couple of wins under his belt and force his way into the top ten against someone like Arreola, JC Gomez or Dimitrenko

I'd love to see him avenge the Briggs loss. That possibility never occured to me for some reason. He'd best stay away from Valuev though, Sergei is tailor made for him
I read that he was injured against Valuev for what it's worth

So long as Main Events keeps him busy i'd be shocked if he didn't get back into the mix at the top of the division. The only thing that's been preventing him from doing so the last couple years was his inactivity thanks to Don King

Stop kiddin' around, Kal. We both know it was really the SNV jab that ruined SL.

If you read through the thread you'd know that he largely disappeared thanks to Don King keeping him inactive with 2 seperate 18 month stints in recent years. He just signed with Main Events (Adamek's promoters) and we're all hoping he'll be more active now and make a run towards the top.

He had a fight a few months ago against a pretty live opponent called Evans Quinn. It's on YT, you should check it out. It was a decent scrap with a good KO at the end

Just watched the last two rounds, dang that was a devastating right. Hopefully Liakhovich makes some noise in the division

I hope so, I'd just like to see him get one more decent win over a 'name' fighter. That would be enough for me. I can't help feeling he's a bit overrated on here, but then I have a habit of being negative about my favourite fighters, so we'll see

Don King destroyed Tyson and many other fighters. Lyakhovich has a really good left hook.
