Re: Joe Louis vs Oliver McCall
Only the ropes kept McCall up vs Bruno and Akiwande , but , as he might get KDd by Louis , Louis could be hit himself , and was a much more fragile man , and McCall did hit harder than almost anyone , at least not weaker than anyone Louis had ever fought . This is no John Henry Lewis / Billy Conn / Ezzard Charles / Jack Sharkey. Louis' chin was almost as shaky as the big O's , and his defense not much better either. McCall would shake him in the clinches , rough him up a bit , get hit himself , but eventually floor Louis enough times to cause the referee to stop the fight .
Louis is soooo overrated , Tony Galento was more the Butterbean of his era than the Tua , Carnerra was an insult for Valuev to compare with , he was the Julius Long of his era , I doubt if he can be compared to Ray Austin and people compare him to Vitali .
Damn , if Michael Moorer could be dragged into the 40s , he might have very well shut some lowlow cleaners up , granted janitor has some book to sell about the unstoppable superhuman KO machine .
