Default who is the next up and coming p4p fighter in MMA?

I'm talking someone who doesn't have many fights as hasn't beaten anyone important yet, but who looks like he's gonna take it all the way.

hadnt watched jon jones previously until i checked a wee bit out on youtube

waz listed as 6.4 and weighed 206 for one fight i watched

remindz me in technique of fedor. only in ONE aspect. saying that however will probably confuse the fark out of everyone because im refering only to jonez ability to spin and tumble to the canvas and land in a good position from the twistz and tumblez on their way to the canvas

jonez usez roman greco, judo, sambo, bjj, etc techniquez altogether as one really well

pretty adept striker overall as well. seemz to enjoy throwing the spinning back fist and has had some success with it as well as getting himself in trouble by leaving him vulnerable and out of position

lookz like a kid that could put on a fair amount of weight if that waz his goal should be interesting to see how this playz out as his current weight makez me wonder if in future he will grow SLIGHTLY out of the 205 division but not enough to have a easy time handling some of the 265lb monsterz he may then come up against

all and all a real fun fighter to watch. has real good speed and is LONG in the armz and legz without being too skinny whereby force is sacrificed

personally i never once said, "oh my god this guy is gonna be unstopable if he continuez to develop to his potential"

however

i did find myself saying that for 22 he no doubt has alot of the skillz that could take him right up to the top

kewl thread by the way. i guess itz the creation of lotz of future time expectationz that alwayz makez prospectz such a interesting source of thought. will be expecting to see more of him for sure in future. oh yeah has got some great kneez also!

I'm pretty sweet on Pat Curran, but we haven't had a chance to see how well rounded he is. Maybe we will when he takes on Eddie Alvarez (one of the three best lightweights in all of MMA) later this year.

John Doomsday Howard is on a nice run in the UFC and seems to be developing nicely...

I'm not sure if either will become top p4p nominees but they're exciting prospects with good striking, which is always something worth watching out for IMO.

Jon Jones is clearly at the top of this list. Very young and very, very talented. I can't even begin to describe how talented this kid is. (****, I'm old enough to be able to call him a kid...**** me.)

If I had to try and illustrate it, in his first fight in the UFC, he threw UFC Veteran Stephan Bonnar around like nothing. Like nothing! UFC 94. It was incredible to watch. Highly recommended. And Bonnar, despite his record, is fantastically technical and extremely tough. To toss him around, much less in your UFC debut, is ridiculously impressive.

He then fights Matt Hammill (I'm skipping a few fights, I believe). Now, Matt Hammill is a monster wrestler. He's built like a ****in' truck! That guy is as stout as they come in the LHW division. And Jon Jones threw him like a ragdoll! What in the ****?! Before that if someone had told me that someone would throw Matt Hammill around like Jones did, I literally would have laughed in your face. I would have laughed in your face, and walked away and never listened to anything you had to say again. That's....damn.

And then he goes on to obliterate Brendon Vera, a highly technical MMAist in all aspects (particularly in striking, even moreso in Muay Thai) and was even a top contender at Heavyweight! Jon Jones made him look like an amateur!

Yeah, this kid's potential is possibly the highest we've seen since GSP when he was first breaking into the UFC. Not even close to exaggerating.
