Sven Ottke - of course outside Germany and the obvious reason is the unbelievable number of robberies that made him retire as an undeafeated, unified champion of the world.

Anybody using WBVA rember those polls - predicting results? You could always pick "Sven Ottke by KO 1" even if Ottke wasn't fighting

Schmeling has already been mentioned, but he was initially hated after beating Jack Sharkey when he apparently could not continue after being low blowed
