A preposterous question. Griffith by shutout.

Now Hagler vs. Licata or Mundine, he might win a few rounds. At best.

You've got some kind of agenda here Itry...I don't know what it is but to be such a good poster, you're being somewhat heavyhanded here.

Hagler by UD or late-round stoppage.

without going into details...Marvin by UD. Which neither exaults Hagler nor lessens Griffith...

Fair enough..probably the most even handed take you can have on these two..I'd just like to add that if Duran was crafty and sneaky enough to ruffle Hag's feathers and survive with honor, certainly the bigger, craftier and smarter technician Griffith could do it too.

Depends on which Hagler shows up

Griffith boxed rings around Dick Tiger to beat him twice.

Hagler can't pull a 'Duran" type fight and fall behind early.....could end up on a losing SD.

But if Hagler goes all out....then he should win a UD.

There was, IMO, a better than average chance that Griffith could have sneaked one of those 15 round split decisions he was so fond of and so good at winning..and i'm talking about the Tiger-beating Griffith..a far cagier and craftier boxer than Duran..and much stronger too. More times than not, however, if it's any other version of Griff, Hagler wins a decision...a close one..nobetter than that...no way he's stopping Griffith..like Longhorn said...depends on which Griffith shows up.

Hagler UD

also Griffith wasn't necessarily a craftier boxer than Duran

I like Hagler by very narrow decision. Griffith has the ability and the smarts not to let Hagler line him up for his right jab just like Duran did. Hagler will have to really go to work in the last half of the fight and press teh fight, which he is capable of doing.
