Default Pacquiao vs. Mosley to be for the Ring Welterweight Title?

I've just been looking at The Ring Welterweight Rankings that has the following ranked as the top 4:

1. Manny Pacquiao
2. Floyd Mayweather
3. Andre Berto
4. Shane Mosley

Come when they get it on, on May 7th, it is not out of the realm of possibility the the title could be up for grabs.

At that point, Money will have been inactive for a year and will probably be removed.

Berto meanwhile could either win and look poor against Ortiz and be relegated or beaten by Ortiz, but not impressively enough for Ortiz to be moved above Mosley.

So maybe their is some point in this fight after all.

No. Not till next year or later this year. Floyd is still in the picture. If he gets knocked out of the rankings due to inactivity, then the winner of Pac v Mosley would fight the #1 contender for the Ring belt - which could possibly result in a rematch of Pac v Mosley.

No, SSM just got his ass kicked by Floyd and had a draw with Sergio Mora

It has been stated by the Ring if Floyd hasn't got a fight scheduled by May 1st 2011, he's removed from the rankings due to inactivity.

Floyd should be the ring magazine champion, since he beat the man of the division.

The ring dont usually strip their champions, considering you have to lose it in the ring so to speak, so im hard pressed to know why pac and shane are fighting for it.

That would be the biggest pile of horseshit ever. not due to any corruption or anything, but it would demonstrate how terribly shallow the division is.

it was the hottest division some 2 or 3 years ago. the only players left are pac and floyd and the other one is on vacation and won't fight. berto is essentially a non-player.

Although the fight has never interested me all that much, I kind of wish Pacquiao and Mayweather had fought years ago so both could have retired by now and let boxing get back to business as usual.

**** both of those guys.

Just get together, do the damn thing, and begone.

The Ring rankings are just Bullshit, period.

Mayweather destroyed the linear champ.

Yet they moved Pacquiao back above him, as he beat Margarito at 150!? Another division

Their excuse?

"Because Margarito had no history at 154, and it was a catchweight, we considered this a welterweight fight, so felt justified in moving Pacquiao up in that division"

Translated - a lot of Asian people were upset that Mayweather was ahead of him

You Filipino guys are borderline delusional.

What's Pacquiao walking out of bouts, over drug testing, got to do with Mayweather not wanting to fight.

Agreeing to your own terms is easy.

Pacquiao's never accepted the other guys demands

Shane Mosely accepted the exact same deal Pacquiao refused to sign.

you are plain wrong. they retained pac's ranking at welter since he fought margarito as a welterweight (144 during weigh-in). get your facts straight you floyd ****sucker.

Manny will be a 5 division linear champion when he kicks Shanes butt. Shane is still prime but he was weak against Floyd because of the stupid drug test.

Pac-Mosley for the Ring Title is a cruel joke. Especailly when the last Ring Champ at 147 just schooled Mosley.
