The preview is back thanks my my man Mr Rysiewski over at MMARocks.pl, and this weekend there are several events featuring some top European talent, including WFC, Shooto and Quest Arena.

WFC debuts in Serbia despite recent “Freefight” ban

Despite recently passed law banning “Freefight events in the cage and similar events” in Serbia, the biggest Balkan promotion WFC’s first venture in that country will reportedly go ahead as planned on Saturday. The main event featuring non other than legendary Jose “Pele” Landi-Jons (26-14) should intrigue many long time MMA fans. Coming off three straight victories, the Brazilian vale tudo pioneer will now face the Bulgarian tough guy Lubomir Guedjev (11- in a clash that should be anything but boring.

Two quality heavyweight scraps will precede the main event. Brazilian grappler Jair Goncalves (8-3) will test highly-touted prospect Geri Turek’s (10-1) ground skills, while German “Big Daddy” Andreas Kraniotakes (9-3) will hunt for another liver knee KO against Croatian judo player Ajlin Ahmic (6-1). Also on the card, after an unsuccessful stateside debut, Dragan Tesanovic (7-1) will return to his home promotion in the showdown against Sevtoslav Savov (7-1).
