Locche would be pure hell for Arguello with his style, and having it 140 would help Alexis any.

Locche's form in beating Cervantes makes me think that he may very well have done the same vs Arguello. If Vilomar Fernandez gave AA fits with his rather limited style, then the much more gifted Locche may have been a stylistic nightmare, a sort of freak of nature for Arguello.

Alexis Arguello is alot better than Cervantes.

Too bad Locche is featherfisted.
Yes..he'd do absolutely no harm to Alexis, and the anaysis of AA's better workrate offensively would indeed make it closer than Locche-Cervantes. I still am not sure about the outcome though..Locche was a genius..

A key difference to me between Arguello and Cervantes was that Arguello would be more apt to concentrate on a sustained body attack. I'll take Arguello by decision due to higher work rate and the body attack.

Might well turn in to an Oscar-Sweet Pea scenario where the guy who gets the decision isn't the one who has the most impressive sequences. Locche would make him look foolish at times, but could he rack up enough clean counters to take the decision? That's the big question mark here. Interesting fight, though...I can't make up my mind one solidly about the outcome, but I'd favor Locche going in to it.

I agree with this assessment, although I strongly disagree with the previous point on Arguello's supposed superiority to Cervantes overall, especially at 140.

Locche by UD. I can't see Alexis landing often enough to rack up the points necessary to win, whereas Locche would have no problem hitting Arguello whenever and wherever he wanted.

Alexis would land a lot, his uppercuts and dynamite left hook to the body would take him very far in terms of not only scoring points but breaking Locche down bit by bit. You can't just sway in front of Arguello and block and slip well, you have to use your feet a LOT and keep him off you.
