One each at WW, JMW and MW, and two at LHW. The Andries and Hill inclusions may surprise some, no doubt. As I stated on another thread, the Hill performance rates right up there with any of his prime boxing performances. When he first won the LHW title from Andries, he had previously won the JMW title, not the MW title. Andries went onto become a three time LHW champion. With that said, Hearns dropped him 5 times and beat him up pretty good along the way.

Biggest wins may not always be most devestating ...

1. Duran
2. Benitez
3. Cuevas
4. Hill
5. Roldan

The more I think about it, the Hill and Andries wins are must top 5. If both aren't included by anyone, then one should be. He was top notch in both. One was a boxing lesson and the other demonstrated his lethal power well past his prime. I'm also taking into consideration who he was up against combined with how he performed.

With Benitez coming off the Duran win and pretty much near the top of his game, perhaps that could replace the Schuler win. While Schuler was a top rated and capable MW, he wasn't anywhere near as established or skilled as Benitez.

Benitez has got to be his second best win, considering he fought from round 8 on against a defensive mastermind with one hand, and still managed to lopsidedly outbox him.

Roldan was a much better fighter than Andres and gave Hearns a much better fight .... Benitez was in his prime and a much better fighter than Hill.

Is this Hitman's Appreciation Day? .... as somebody said in another post, lots of Tommy threads around. Soon this Forum will have to be renamed "Classic Hearns Forum"

Anyway, going back to topic, my list:

1) Cuevas
2) Duran
3) Benitez
4) Leonard II (I agree with the previous poster who said that it should have been a Victory for Hearns ... even Leonard admitted that Tommy won that one)
5) Hill
