Default Felt bad for Arthur Abraham tonight. Maybe try MMA?

He has massive power. He shook Ward a few times. He has power. He just isnt a boxer. He's really strong though. He caught Ward in a few headlocks where it looked like he could have choked him out?

I dont know, maybe he could try MMA? I think he could do better there. Big muscular powerful guy. He's a nice guy and I feel bad he's been beaten up 3 fights in a row. Its not his fault, its that horribly style he's been taught which only really works when he's fighting smaller guys,

It's a shame because it seems he could be much much better if hr fought with a trainer that gave him a style that suited his attributes much better. I would say the lack of stamina is a setback, but if he fought out of a crouch and as a smaller target, or perhaps even more like his idol Mike Tyson he could be loads better. The guy, also, seriously needs to learn to tighten and straighten his punches so there more compact. Never seen such wild unorthodox shots like that before. I always thought he had the build and style to have better chance at crossing over to MMA than most fighters.

Tonight he looked like an absolute tank in the ring. Bigger than normal. For those who called him a midget at the press conference. He looked very stout and thick in there.

He's just probably too muscular for boxing.

What im thinking. Muscular guys are rarely successful in boxing. It zaps too much of your stamina getting oxygen to your muscles.

I think he'd do good to switch sports.

Its easier to learn how to defend against grappling than to defend against boxing. He could do well in MMA but his stamina has to improve.

He can make entertaining fights, put him in with Bika that would be a war.

Abraham needs to go back down to middleweight. Abraham gave the blueprint to beating Ward early though, but he stopped using his jab. Bute will knock Ward out if they ever fight, but doubt if Ward will be allowed to fight Bute. Johnson or Froch will give Ward pure Hell, could knock him out!

Yeah that makes sense. Make a career switch at 31 years old to make less money fighting in MMA.....

Considering some of the muscular fighters we've had. I don't think that's the real issue. Although you make a good general point on the subject of muscular fighters.

His stamina is so poor that I doubt he'd prosper at MMA. It's hard to think of another fighter of a decent standard who has stamina anywhere near as bad.

It is possible to be heavily muscled and still have pretty good stamina. Jeff Lacey was built like a bodybuilder and he had no problems in that area.

A couple of years back Abraham's trainer tried to con opposition into thinking that Abraham does not have stamina problems by saying that he is a world class cyclist. Not a chance in hell that Abraham would be any good as a road cyclist.

AA is done, he can stick to beating average guys in Germany where people will buy it...

I knew it'd end that way, AA is simply too limited to be any good today.
