put them in a bag then in a freezer for the night, it will kill bacteria, some that causes odor

I just use "Febreeze" when i'm finished training. And when i get home i put them on the washing line and "air them out" for a few hours.

You can newspaper in them to help dry them out. When you get home, air them out (not just out of your gym bag, open them up put them somewhere with a breeze, like on the line), you can also use glen20/oust/febreeze on the inside to keep them smelling nice and kill the bacteria. You can also can also keep a few silica gel packets in your gym bag (put them in a small coin bag or something in case they tear open), it helps keeping your bag from turning into a swamp.

I bought these things called 'glovebugs' for like 6 or 7 quid. Dunno if Im allowed to link on here but just search glovebugs in google and you will find em.

They work real well I might add

Straight or asap after use I spray it with Glen 20 (I get the smaller/thinner can ... that way I can shove the can up the glove and spray the insides).

Then I hang em out to dry and air overnight.

This definitely works, since I've been doing that none of my gloves or shin guards stink.

I'll take them off after hard training in the summer, throw them in my gym bag until it's time to train again the next day and I've never had any problems with them smelling. Lucky me.

The gym's gloves that sever people wear smell pretty bad though, even though they are left out in the open where they can get some air.

Boxing gloves are a lot like life... Once you screw it up too much? There is no going back. Once "Da Funk!" has developed? It is there to STAY! It can only be managed. So starting from the beginning... If you can? Buy two pairs of the same glove. Alternate using them. Then use the rest of this regardless of if you have one or two pair. When you buy your gloves, before they arrive...

Buy a pack of LONG (knee high) tube socks and a bag of the crystal type cat liter (silica gel). Fill two tube socks the length from your second knuckle to an inch behind your wrist with litter (6-8 inches). Then tie them off, but don't make the filled part too tight where the little grains break through. You want it to be loose enough for you to work it into the curve of the fingers of the glove. (Connect the "glove dogs" with a piece of high grade thin rope if you like.) Next buy you a bottle of clear white alcohol. Should be dirt cheap. Put it in a spray bottle. Now you are ready to bang out and avoid "Da Funk!"

As soon as you come home from the gym, hit your gloves with a liberal soaking of the alcohol and immediately stuff the "glove dogs" down into the glove. Make sure to try to work it as deep into the curve as the wetness has gone. You hit it both on the bacterial aspect and the moisture aspect.

The outside of gloves should be cared for with a weak soap solution and water. Like washing a baby butt. You don't want to put something like alcohol (solvent) on the outside of your glove. Especially if you have a fancy decal or shiny/colored leather. Could wreak havoc with some of the prettier gloves.

let them air dry, and put a cedar sachet in each glove, they'll never stink.
