Sometimes gets a bit busy like but always a good atmosphere. Quote:
I'm barred from Space because of a ruck about five years ago, I gave one of the bar staff a 20 and he gave me change for a 10 so I kicked off, and was promptly thrown out.... with my tenner I might add. The bouncer still recognises me

Was once in there on a Saturday and there was about four birds on the dancefloor that I'd shagged.... and about three others that my mate had done too, so we just stood near the DJ box chilling out and admiring the view. Even though beach bars aren't really in anymore I wish they'd open it again just for the laugh. |

Yeah it was.... Baja was pretty convenient because it was next door to Yates and also the bus stop on the way back from the rugby.
Bondi was better though, the birds weren't as nice but the music was better and there was more action ![]() To be honest though, when those places were open.... it was either Majestyks, which was a bit intimidating for a teenager really full of loonies, the Cage, Heaven and Hell (wow!) or the beach bars.... we'd sometimes go to Squares, then Censsa until it closed at half 12 then walk to Bondi. If they weren't letting in go to the Cage and dance away like a cunt! I've not been in Glory Bar for a bit, was supposed to be going for the 1st anniversary but ended up pissed up in Broadway |

). We were about 16 at the time aswell. Glory has been dead the last few times I've been in. Thought they might have the boxing on tomorrow to get some more punters in? |

Yeah with the Five Megamix and Chesney Hawkes upstairs
Them spastics would fall for anything, proper dumb fucks. Glory isn't in the best spot I don't think with Gatecrasher closing. People aren't going to go there before Oceana and there's nowhere to go near where H&H used to be either now. Do you go boozing local then, did you say you were a Miggy lad? |

I hardly ever go local anymore mate to be honest, there's hardly anywhere decent near me now. The Engine, The Broadway and The Garden Gate are the only ones relatively near that i pop into now and again. It's nearly always town. *Update from Shooters - They are definitely showing the boxing tomorrow night* |

Gatecrasher will re-open soon I'd imagine, give it a few months.
We don't go local much either, The Broadway is probably our ''local'' but we go to the Whistle now and again too.... that used to be a cracking boozer a few years ago until the Landlord left for somewhere else. Quality about Shooters, I'll get ringing around tomorrow to get out, fuck watching it at home. |

The Broadway is always decent. Have you been to the Garden Gate in Hunslet? It's a listed building so it's the same inside now as it was when it first opened about 350 years ago as they can't alter anything. Leeds Brewery run it now and have put sky sports HD in on 4 tv's. Have a good one in shooters if you head there. Reckon we'll be in early doors to get a decent spot. |

Feeling quite nostalgic reading this thread spent about 4 happy years in Leeds working for ITV. What a banging city whoever said about Call Lane was spot on the revolution there was as good as any club! Killed many a brain cell in back to basics as well!
As for that Sports Cafe I was in there watching Leicester Vs Yeovil with my then missus about 3 years ago and cheered when Leicester got a late goal and some lad walked straight over to me and threw a pint over me needless to say it got a bit wild west a bit quickly! classy joint! |
