Ok ESB, I know you're all probably supporting Rigondeaux at the weekend, but I'm here to convince you otherwise. While I consider myself a Rigo fan, I simply cannot support him vs THE best Panamainian Super-Bantamweight out there, Ricardo ''El Maestrito'' Cordoba. Let's all get behind the skillful and exciting southpaw stylist as he makes his way back to the top!

I think is a big step up for Rigondeaux, but I have to support my countryman, and if he wins this one, he will prove to everyone that he was and is ready, to rumble with the best of them, imo Cordoba is one of the best SBW that we have right now.

Yes he was , Poosawat was interim champion. Anyway, like I said, dont worry about it. This thread is about Cordoba. Just because I'm Irish doesn't mean I'll overreacting to something said about Dunne.

On what basis do you think Cordoba beats Rigo?
To me, he is lesser than the cuban in nearly every department. |

Experience at the highest level, faster, stronger and smarter than anybody Rigo has fought so far. He's also very accurate and a good counter-puncher, which I think is the type of style that can trouble Rigondeaux.

He's the best Rigondeaux has fought before, and he is not going to get annhilated like some tards on here think he will. But Rigo is just better than him, faster, more accurate, better chin etc. I think Cordoba has the edge on power just about, and work rate, but I don't think that will be an issue for Rigo. He can easily pick off Cordoba with accurate shots in and out, and taking one shot whilst giving 2 or 3 won't be a problem for him. If Rigondeaux has the power he is supposed to have, then he can stop Cordoba, otherwise he will outbox him but it will not be a shutout. Cordoba got outboxed by Sidorenko in spells, who is an average fighter IMO.
