Marshall, easy. Marshall was a very very good boxer as well as a puncher with either hand...of the leash I consider Marshall pretty lethal. Marshall by KO and early, too.

I agree , this is a class fighter against a puncher who werent that good. Marshall would outbox him before stopping him I think. He had natural weight advantage aswell

While I think Lloyd wins this fight by virtue of his being the superior boxer of the two as well as being the naturally bigger man, I wouldn`t go as far as saying this will be an easy nights work for him. For a time Carter was a legitimate contender in a very deep and competitive era of middleweights, before booze and lack of dedication saw him fall out of contention.

At his best I think Carter could box pretty good and he threw short, compact and explosive punches which could and would hurt a bigger man then himself. Rubin lasts the distance and loses a decision, but he would make a fight of it and he definately had enough power to hurt/KO Lloyd who would have surely respected Carter`s ability as a puncher if nothing else, and would have fought accordingly.

Marshall UD Carter

Marshall had far more tools and was much more skilled, but due to Carter's toughness i see him losing via a wide decision rather then KO.
