Would this be because of his 5XL gloves? You know that a force will create more power when it is applied over a smaller area. JDS smaller hands would actually be an advantage at least from a physics perspective.

the difference in power isnt that much they tested a boxing glove, bare hands and a mma glove
bare hands does the most damage but the difference between a boxing glove and a mma glove its like 10 kilos of force

shit good point beekeeper nice to have you back in the forums! Um im thinking that 5xl gloves would have a larger surface area therefore equating to a slower but heavy hit on jds however jds having smaller hands would be able to generate faster punches which would allow him to have increased power. Im going by newton's law- FORCE= MASS X ACCELERATION thats why i said shane carwin would have more power in his punches

Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar underwent surgery on Thursday to address a second bout with diverticulitis, and if all goes well, he could fight in 2012.

UFC president Dana White today said that Lesnar had 12 inches of his colon removed in the procedure and is expected to spend the rest of 2011 in recovery.

However, White hopes the former heavyweight champ will return next year.

"He said he's a little sore, but the operation was a huge success," White said during the pay-per-view telecast of UFC 130, which took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Lesnar was forced to withdraw from a No. 1 contender bout with Junior Dos Santos at UFC 131 due to the intestinal illness. The two had served as opposing coaches on "The Ultimate Fighter 13," which finishes airing this coming week on Spike TV.

The former champ was first stricken with diverticulitis in late 2009 and spent several months in recovery as his future in the sport hung in the balance. He recovered from the illness in early 2010 with lifestyle changes, but it again resurfaced this spring.


Be good if he can make a comeback. But 12 inches is no joke. I know exactly what he's going through. Hopefully he'll be ok.

His medical problems are getting into the Kevin Randleman category now....which is sad....
