Default What are the most high-level MMA striking matches you've ever seen?

And before everyone (rightly) says Anderson Silva vs Chris Leben, I don't mean the most impressive beatdowns, I mean the most high-level match-up overall, ie where the standard of striking was extremely high from both sides, a really skilful match-up.

In this regard, I enjoyed Lyoto Machida vs Shogun Rua 1, BJ Penn vs Frankie Edgar 1 (even though BJ deserved the decision!!), and Cung Le vs Frank Shamrock.

What about you?

Those are definitely the three that come to mind. I would also add Chuck Liddell vs Wanderali Silva, Chuck Liddell vs Guy Metzger in Pride, and Wanderlai Silva vs Guy Metzger in Pride. Also worth watching are Crocop vs Aleks Emileanenko and Kharitonov vs Aleks Emileanenko. Crocop's fight with Pat Barry was another good one and possibly the last good performance from the great fighter.
