Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
What I've been saying I've wanted more than anything is for the champions at super-fly to fight each other. And it looks like half of that may just come to fruition, because after WBC champ Rojas beat his mandatory Juan Jose Montes the other week and challenged the IBF champion who was sitting ringside, Cristian Mijares, who had helped Montes prepare for the fight. El Diamante is said to have accepted the challenge and discussions are due to take place. This fight, for me personally, is a great one, Rojas may have an unappealing record, but don't be fooled, he falls under the same bracket as Orlando Salido and Cristobal Cruz, it won't be easy for Cristian. Hopefully Omar Narvaez and Hugo Cazares will collide to unify the other two titles and the winners will be set for a collision course(wishful thinking I know). |

You know it LP. Three of my favourite fighters, Mijares, Rojas and Narvaez all in the one division, and now two of them might fight each other. If this comes off, as much as I love Rojas, WAR DIAMANTE!
So I've heard, it's not something I'd want. Omar's pretty small for super-fly, never mind bantam. I've no doubt that overall he's a better fighter than Darchinyan as of now, but I can't see him winning at all at 118.

Oi, shower of twats, show some interest here, don't make this like my other Mijares threads that I bump continuously with nobody replying.
I know it's below bantamweight but make a fooking effort here! |

Little guys should always look to become champ and unify asap. I think it is the best way they can be recognised. It is hard enough amongst the mainstream to get recognised but even harder if you are small.

I know, it's mad. He very rarely takes on any quality opposition, and when he finally did against Seda, giving an excellent performance, he follows it up with this. Madness. At least he's the best in Columbia though.
