I'd have to favor Mayweather, but it'd be a great fight I bet.

PBF by UD. PBF gives Chavez a boxing lesson much like Pea did.

Jose Luis Castillo was competitive with Floyd Mayweather twice, even though I scored it for Mayweather in both fights. Chavez did everything better than Castillo at 135 - he was faster, more skilled, more powerful, and the better body puncher.

I believe Chavez would win at 135/140, but I would give Floyd a good shot at winning. At 130 and 147, I would pick Floyd. You act as though Chavez has NO chance at any weight which is clearly not the case.

He was great at chasing people and punishing them. He spent his whole career moving foward, hardly took a step backwards.

Look. His sparing partner arguably beat Floyd, a guy who is said to be the poor mans version of JCC. JCC is Superior to Castillo in every category. Important to note that Chavez was a smarter fighter with heavier hands than Castillo. I really cant think of a single category where Castillo was better than Chavez. Not one..

Consider the oppinions here, take a look at the numbers of Castillo's first fight with Floyd if you have to. That should at leat bring some questions to your mind. Maybe you should watch some Chavez fights.

There was no way Taylor could have beaten Floyd. No way. He wasn't that good of a technician and relied on his speed too much. Floyd is a much better technician. Just look at what happened to Meldrick when he tried to fight a guy like Terry Norris, who was slower than him, but a much better boxer. He got beat.

To each his own, dude. Look at the number when JCC was in his life and death struggle with Jose Luis Ramirez, a fighter who Whittaker shut out over twelve rounds. JCC was a busier fighter than Castillo, but I really don't think he was a bigger puncher. The only one punch KO I ever saw Chavez get was against Roger Mayweather. Other than that, it was all accumulation. Castillo was the bigger puncher, but Chevez was the better fighter.

Chavez achieved way better stoppages than Castillo.

Chavez stopped Mario Martinez, Ruben Castillo, Roger Mayweather, Edwin Rosario, Meldrick Taylor, Greg Haugen and Tony Lopez.

Jose Luis Castillo stopped Jorge Paez, Cesar Bazan and Diego Corrales.

I think Castillo might be more heavy handed, but Chavez is a much better boxer, and has more speed and snap to his punches, which is why he was able to stop so many quality opponents.

You're making Chavez to be a one dimensional pressure fighter.

The guy delivered intelligent pressure. He worked behind the jab, but yes, once he was on you, he stayed on you.

If Floyd stays on the ropes for too long, he'll get beat up.
