This thread should prove as entertaining as the last half of The Mechanic's career.

This thread will be epic in proportion and likened to Nostradamus type predictions.....when Choc beats Trout and wins a third title (uhum) in descending weight divisions the pioneer will well and truly have his day in the sun

And with some luck CHB will top himself when he see's he's wasted 3 years of trolling and deputy dogging

"The Man" decided to save Australian boxing on the 3/7/00 against Gerrard Zohs a fighter with 20 fights, 10 wins, 9 losses and a draw. Weighing in at 74.9kg the man came out to pyrotechnics and LL Cool J blasting away on the speakers.

The fight itself was short but gave little snippets into the future greatness we as choc fans are all well used to seeing from him today.

Zohs tried a cheapshot as the fight began but paid for it later in the round as Choc put him down once with some wrestling and once with a punch. Mundine was novice like and at times tentative but managed to shoehorn in a first round bit of showboating. Choc dominated the fight as Zohs couldn't hurt him, in round 3 Choc ran into a shot but beat up on Zohs as punishment although both fighters fought at a slower pace. Round 4 saw Zohs have a good go at the beginning but Choc starched him midway through the round showing everyone he was right to pick up the gloves.

Mundine showed he was an athlete but looked amateurish throughout the fight as he loaded up constantly and his defence was awful, on the other hand it was clear his jab, left hook and right uppercut were going to be world class in the future. Mundine also looked distracted at times and was happy to touch gloves frequently despite his future misgivings about doing so.

Hi haters.
20arse reamings in87, the pre fight interview with Zos was sad, it was sad that Mundine's promotion team had a down sindrome kid believing he could beat mundine that night with the promise of a shiny new trophy, Mundine made a million dollars, Zos got to fly in an airoplane and ride in the blue bus, he didn't even get into trouble for licking the windows.

That's possibly the worst insult I have ever seen, I can tell you really tried though.

Not many fighters would fight someone with a Zohs-like record for their debut. I guess that's why other boxers aren't considered to be "the man".

Why dont you just edit the thread title to show :

A countdown to history: 2 Taumafai

And so on through 45 fights....

That way the thread can take it's place with other epic Mundine threads

I tell you what, dick head, I'm 40 in a couple of months, have an amateur boxing background as well as am. and pro kickboxing I've just applied for my fighters' licence (approved) and if Gerard Zos is still fighting and a promoter is willing to put it on, I'll fight him in my pro debut. Zos seems like a good man, in his early days he was probably an OK fighter, he certainly tried that night, as he did shortly after with Tim Bell, but he was slurring his words and far from lucid in the pre fight interview for the Mundine fight.
