Default Universum want to get back on track with new investors

Universum boss Kohl on tuesday presented a new co - ceo of his business, Russian german Waldemar Kluch, to the local press.

Kluch is said to be only the face of a group of enterprises "worth several billion" comprising russian and chinese investors Kohl said.

Its planned to stage between 8 and 10 boxing events in Germany each year, with the focus on Hamburg where Universum headquarters are.

Its also planned to move Universum's gym to a bigger one in the outskirts of hamburg belonging to an enterprise of which KLuch is the ceo and who has a boxing hall for a capacity of 2.500 spectators.

Universum is currently left with no world champ and no TV contract but Kohl claimed "its not a question whether we ll find a new TV partner, rather the question is which TV Partner we will decide to work together with".

"Universum used to be Europes No 1 and thats the position we want to get back to" Kluch said.

I am really happy to read this. Klaus-Peter Kohl has made some really huge fights in the past, e.g. started and boosted the career of the Klitschkos. Universum has a name in professional boxing, and still has excellent connections to the russian boxing scene.
I hope they get a long-lasting TV contract with a free TV provider, so that we can see the fights live. Hey boxing is big in Germany with extraordinary media share rates!
KPK - I wish you all the best for the re-launch!

I d largely agree with that Rick,
he ' s also made some noticeable mistakes, imo, for instance while guiding the career of fighters and his unwillingness to share power. The latter aspect he seems to have changed in the meantime what with inviting this KLuch guy to the board of directors of Universum and with further new investors to come (these people ll be presented in august I read). This can only mean he s willing to share power otherwise these guys wouldnt be investing money in his business. I do hope he becomes braver in the matchmaking for his fighters in the future.

So now China is going to colonize German boxing, starting with Universum?

they ****ed up, there done, ZDF were ****ed over by these clowns, paying million of dollars for shit fights. the secert to boxing with TV companies, never sign with just one promoter to give you fights. offer tv dates with a ball park amount of money and pick the fights that you think the public won'ts

after ruining the careers of guys like Erdei, Dzinziruk, Golovkin etc i hope that Kohl trips and falls into an abyss. He should get involved with fake wrestling or something he's better suited for cuz it sure as hell isn't boxing.
