Arrow Chin Talk Special: Klitschko vs Haye

Can we please get some Chin analysis from the good folks at ESB on these fighter's beards. I am particularly looking for some input from my fellow Chincheckers and the good people at Team Elite. I am already aware of Chin scholar Zakman's views on the aforementioned fighter's Chins.

Let's lay out some basic facts for analysis

Wladimir Klitschko - 58 fights, stopped 3 times, down 11 times (to my knowledge).

David Haye - 26 fights, stopped 1 time, down 3 times (to my knowledge).

Of course, these stats don't tell the whole story. Each knockdown and loss has to be looked at and analysed. The fighter's recovery time after each knockdown is a key factor, so is the opposing fighter's power (Mock for example) must be looked at to tell the whole story. Also styles come into play, I think it is fair to say Haye takes 5x more shots on average in each fight than Wlad has in the last 5 years or so, so that has to be taken into account too.

Let's get down to business and hear your opinions on the fighter's Mandibles.

If Wlad is able to land a 10th of the shots he landed on Peter 2, Chagaev and Chambers this fight is over with Wlad winning by KO. Haye WILL fight in a style some what similar to his fight with Valuev and Ibraginov's fight with Wlad.

Exactly. And as far as chins are concerned I say Wladimir has the stronger chin. The shots that have put Haye down in the past were NOT as hard as the shots Sanders and Peter, and Brewster hit Wlad with. And the Peter shots were illegal blows that started the knockdowns.
The Brewster knockdowns were from fatigue mainly. Same with the Purrity fight.

Put it this way ...if Haye ate those straight left hands from Sanders he wouldn't have been able to get up four times And even go back to Haye's amateur days. He was stopped a few times while Wladimir wasn't stopped once I don't believe.

Mock rocked Haye with a simple straight right to the forehead. Not the tip of the chin, not the temple. Not a flush shot at all.

Wlad usually lands these shots lacking precision somewhere on the forehead like clockwork. He landed dozens of them on Peter. Really would love to see how Haye takes one of these. Doesn't need to be flush. Still wonder if his knees go on the first one.

Has nothing to do with lacking precision. Wlad is normally the taller fighter, and landing those thudding blows to his opponents forehead is brutal. It puts serious strain on the neck and back.

When Mock knocked Haye down, it was very early in his career, so much so that it's irrelevant. How old was Haye them? He's physically grown a lot since then.

People forget the kind of flush punches Haye took against Thompson. The main reason he went down was because he was gassed but look at how many flush punches bounce off his chin. He showed toughness against Thompson and a true glass jawed fighter would have been knocked out cold.

As for Mormeck, he was weight drained. For that reason, you can discount this.

Boxers don't aim for the forehead. That's solid bone and doesn't get knockouts because it doesn't cause enough movement with the head. They want to hit the chin or face.

I agree. And the jabs Haye is getting ready to swallow ...will be very interesting to see how Haye is going to try and stand up to those. That's the thing ...the jabs alone will disorient Haye quick and when that right or left hook slams home, Haye will WISH he was getting hit by Mock instead.

I lost interest in this fight ages ago, but the potential pwnage, silly dances, shattered glass, massive resulting embarrassment, and retarded esb fanboy reaction could be all be absolutely fabulous.

Hypejob Haye is a gutless glass chinned fraud who hasn't beaten anyone with a pulse. He has NEVER faced a puncher in his entire career, yet he's been knocked down, badly hurt and KO'd tons of times.

- he was knocked down twice and destroyed in 5 rounds by washed up shot 41 year old light heavyweight bum Carl Thompson.

- KTFO in the 1st round by homeless bum Jimmy Twite.

- KO'd in 3 rounds by Solis, who was KO'd in the 1st round by Vitali Klitschko.

- got knocked down twice, badly hurt and almost KO'd by super middleweight bum Lolenga Mock, he was staggering around the ring like a drunk, wobbling everywhere and holding on for dear life. Any other ref would've stopped the fight, but the fight was in the UK and the biased corrupt British ref saved Haye and let it continue. The stoppage was terrible too. Super middleweight bum Lolenga Mock got robbed of a 2nd round KO win over Haye.

- was stunned and hurt by 40 year old shot to pieces, slow as molasses feather fisted Ruiz, the ropes saved Haye from getting knocked down.

- got knocked down and badly hurt by old shot midget Mormeck.

- got knocked down and badly hurt by old shot bum Barrett.

Haye has the weakest chin that Wlad has ever faced.

This fight has overhyped mismatch written all over it.

Easy KO win for Wlad.

If Haye gets caught with the right hand at ANY round, even the first, he's either knocked down and hurt badly or out. Haye needs to avoid that and confuse Wladimir with speed and movement. Wladimir will be able to handle Haye's shot but not for long especially if Haye plans to throw to the body a lot. Haye MUST throw to the body a lot, relying on one big shot won't work, Wladimir might be hurt but he won't be out. Wladimir has never been completely out from a single shot, he always gets up. If Haye lands a lot of body shots and gets Wladimir to gas out then a TKO is inevitable. All Haye has to do is counter Wladimir's right hand.

I don't get why anyone would lose interest about this fight "long ago". When it was canceled the first time people didn't even show as much interest as they are now. Haye didn't have enough fights at heavyweight, didn't have a legitimate championship belt to provide and clearly didn't deserve the shot against Wladimir.
