i know i digressed off into a sub topic, but it was just a bit of fun. this thread isnt for discussing a nations faults. im sorry for what i did to drag the discussion away, but there is no need to bring 'politics' into this.

lets keep it about artur szpilka from now on

But both his personality and some of his natural skills will attract major attention. It seems to be a long road to the top of the division to get that attention, but just one or two solid wins will get many people on his bandwagon, including the media outside of Poland, which has already happened to some extent. How else can you explain people talking so much about a guy who has just ten measily wins, and the conversation started when he only had seven wins, the seventh being his first HW win. He is the antidote, many people who are bored with the K Bro reign, will seek out. Right now Szpilka is a major hype job, and we will just have to see if this hype job pans out.
Totally agree. Im very interested in him too as you see in this thread. But it is a very good amount of posts for a Euroforum topic.

In most of the boxing world, yes. Sadly there are much emphasies on the "o" these days.

Japan though is quite different. Most fighters have early loses, and people dont care about that.

Agreed. This forum seems much more lively of late then it has in the past. Maybe finally everyone is getting sick of the general forum and some of the idiots that post there.

Yea, I was just there last week and threw a empty Żywiec can into it. Shove it, Finland!

On a more serious note, that hardly sounds like a Polish trait, and more a problem with politics and finances.

to be fair, i cant be arsed with the main forum, nor the brit forum. theres a fairly high proportion of morons knocking about

and well, back to szpilka yeah, he doesnt have the mystery element of golota, but he has character in his own way. but, i have to agree that he is being massively over hyped at the moment. however, that is to be expected with the current state of the division.

and finally, lets get the euro forum up and running properly, i dont want to have to read another trolling/ generally retarded thread on the main forum

the difference between Golota and Szpilka is that Andrew had extremely successful amateur career.he had some solid boxing skills before he went pro.
Szpilka is exiting because he had little experience yet he is doing so well.
so must have some talent...and of course Szpilkas punching power make his fights exiting since fight can be finish in any second...we see i hope he will not waste his gift

i dont doubt for one second szpilkas gifts. but golota had something about him, something different. on the other hand, its got to appreciated that szpilka has already created alot of noise in a short period of time. he has the potential to be huge, should he make the most of his gifts.
