It was a uneventful fight in a way.

But - Wlad clearly won - and he didnt even have to do anything of great drastic bravery - he just domianted with the jab and his size and strength.

Boring and preditable - but still clearly the superior.

Funny shit. Fucking Walkabout. Every time I go in there I get free B and B courtesy of Lincolnshire Police.

Yeah.

I tried to jump the queue in the casino though - to get in watch the Haye fight.

There was a big queue - of people all paying £5 to get in.

And I just walked straight past them all - and then I got stopped by security - they asked me to see the stamp on my hand - and I showed them my hand - holding it up as if just acting like I paid - but my hand was blank with no stamp.

In my drunken state I was hoping they wouldnt notice - and just wave me on through.

I was sent to the back of the queue.

yes............people falling for the talk.

I never really fell for it - cos I'm experienced enough - to know - talk is just hot air.

Some fighters have been very convincing with their big talk coming into big fights.

Frank Bruno in the rematch with Tyson.

Audely against Haye.

Naz against Barrera.

McCelllenan against Benn.

Holyfield having relgious dreams of Knocking out Lennox Lewis.

Michael Grant - saying God has said he will beat Lennox Leiws, etc.

Some of these fighters - sometimes - talk and mean it - or bluff condence so much - you think there is no way they can lose.

But ultimately - on the night - if they not good enough they not good enough.

Yeah he is, i personally feel he let himself down. He knows that. Some people take a bad performance personally. I don't believe either man really covered themselves in real glory. Obviously Wlad won and won well but for me didn't prove a great deal other then he's a bit better then i expected but still same fighter and always will be now.

I know yourself and many went out there and paid good money to be there but it's always a risk and to many have taken Haye's poor display personally as if he decided ''right i'm gonna go out there and destroy my credibility and lose this fight to fuck over all the British fans who come over to support me''. David knows in his heart he could of done things better. He will live with that regret all his life sadly.

TBH Mand I went over there with my eyes open. I fancied Wlad to win and didn't fall for all the "kill or be killed" BS. Its one of the reasons I like to book a couple of days off either side of the fight, so you can just enjoy the break if the actual fight is poor.

I hoped the fight would be great but I thought it could well be a snoozer with Wlad winning at range. No complaints here.

Yep you got the right idea. Some fans have a do or die attitude they go just for the fight. Get amped up and get deflated. Nativity on there part but it's all part of being a fan. Like in football when your team let you down. Boxing's just different fighters when it's all said are ones taking shots.

Your right his trashtalk has added to rating of his performance as well as the excuse which was always gonna be jumped on. He could of had a broken leg and fans would of still had dig at him.

I hope he fights on and hopefully Frochy will do the biz and get back that feel good vibe in British Boxing.

Wlad was as disappointing as Haye was and plays as big a part, if not bigger, in it not being the most exciting of fights.

People seem to forget that Wlad told us all he was going to give Haye a 'Pizza face', then knock him out in round 12 (he was running backwards for some of that round after getting tagged). He said he was going to teach Haye a hard lesson on how to behave. The guy barely laid a meaningful punch on him all night.

They are both to blame for how it turned out, it takes two to tango.

You dont judge a fight - by what they said before the fight -

What people will remeber is - and how boxing history is defined is what happened in the ring.

Wlad got the win - clearly.

It didnt live up to the promises of the fighters and the hype.

It dosent matter - alot of fights dont live up to the hype.

Wlad got the W - thats all it comes down to.

Im alarmed by some of the inaccuracies in the opening post. Neither Wladimir nor Haye have a girlfriend. Haye has a wife and Klitschko split with the 17 year old earlier this year
