Rios vs Barrera... seriously?

arums trying to showcase Rios to the hardcore mexican fanbase that Barrera has but does he really think they will want to be Rios fans if he beats up their old and faded hero?

it would be like hoya vs chavez, mexicans hated hoya for a while after beating their national hero.

stupid fight and i dont think i'll be watching.

i always felt mexicans preferred morales over barrera so maybe they won't take it too badly.

arum just needs a name that will give rios exposure and make him look good. barrera ticks all the boxes.

he should put him against a decent fighter such as katsidis or soto on the undercard of a pacquiao fight.

It was terrific while it lasted. I was shocked when Rios called out Barerra post fight Think Bob had already told him to drop the name

Also,watching Kermit getting duffed up on the undercard was an added bonus too

there was talk of Marco fighting him before Antilon. That was at the start of the year.

I'd like to see him in with Marquez, but i don't think there will be much left of him after Pacquiao. Soto could be a fun fight

golden boy aint going to give a good undercard fighter for themselves in katsidis to rios because of the risk and that it would be a top rank event. soto would be a good solid fight where both have alot to prove and a win could do alot for their future prospects. but overall barrera is a fighter who provides the least risk with reasonable reward, for arum it makes the most sense.
