Default LIVE EUROSPORT THURSDAY M'BAYE v EL MASSOUDI

Crazily this is for an interim world title, M'Baye not been very active but has a few good moves left against a boxer ranked outside the top 100 by Boxrec.

Can El Massoudi beat the ageing "sensation" or will M'Baye get a gift from the WBA again.

How did he look against Decarie last year, on paper thats an ok win really to be fair and miles better than anything El Massoudi has done.

Any views guys

Default Re: LIVE EUROSPORT THURSDAY M'BAYE v EL MASSOUDI

A couple of quick notes for those who missed this:

You may be surprised at the result of El Massoudi winnimg by TKO in the twelfth.

He did NOT score any kind of actual knockout. It was stopped due to a leg injury claimed by M'baye.

It is still a legitimate win for El Massoudi, though - he was way up on the cards of both Eurosport announcers and most posters. M'baye had about a minute left to score a come from behind KO and that was just not going to happen. He was gassed and had never been close to hurting El Massoudi even when fresh. El Massoudi was dominating the 12th round up through the stoppage. On my card it would have finished 117-111 for El Massoudi if the strange and suspiciously sudden injury had not occurred. Nothing appeared to happen that might cause serious leg injury. My guess is that M'baye was desperate for a way out and perhaps thought he could avoid the humiliation of a wide points loss to a big underdog by faking injury and hoping for a No Contest.
