Default Help needed: Good skill based drills for two people

Im in a bit of a strange situation atm but because of the hours im working i cant go to the boxing gym for training so can only really do shadow boxing and fitness workouts at home.

My mate who i train with is at amateur level but relatively new 2yrs training on and off. Anyway we usually spar together when we are both back from uni but the other week he got his face smashed in by a bouncer and is missing a few teeth among other dental damage. So basically we cant spar and i was wondering if people had any good little drills/game style training that we could do to focus on fundamental skills. for example, at my old gym we used to pair up and try and focus on just slipping the jab (starting slowly and building up speed) to become accustomed to slipping the jab on the outside and not relying purely on blocking/moving away.

Sorry for the length of the post any help would be great especially based on defense as i find i often rely too much on simply moving away from shots which usually means im out of range to counter punch.

p.s. i train conditioning after but as my fitness is fiarly poor i try and do my skills first after a quick skipping/shadow boxing warm up.

There are a few things you can do pending on experience of both guys, drill common scenarios in the ring but slowed down and taking turns, tag boxing, tag shoulder for head shot, thigh for body shot, no switching to make the thigh tags miss thats cheating, that can be fun. you can also do tag boxing on a slip line, feinting eachother under the lines to try and catch each other out, thats hard work on the legs. using movement only split ring into 4 squares and try and cut eachother off, without seeing or knowing skill levels of both of you involved its hard to suggest anything really, but these should be fun.

one of you just throws jabs for the other to catch. start slow then speed it up, then double it, throw in feints etc. you csan never do enough of this as the jab is the punch you have to deal with 80% of the time.
after this then practice catching the jab and countering with one. then counter with double jab. then counter with 1-2. this can easilylast 5 rounds each and practices defense and attack
then you can increase it by defending the 1-2 and countering
basically do a round where one attacks and one defends /counters. you know what attack is coming and you get to practice dozens of times your defence for it.
another good one is working inside but only very light. one defends, one attacks. stay in close forduration of the round. then mix it up so you can do whatever you want int erms of defense and attack. as long as you limit poower to head ou will improve and can do lots of rounds.
