Hard to argue with any of the names you've put there, but I'd always have Jeff Fenech in my list. His stamina, fitness and workrate were just phenomenal and I'm not sure I've ever seen any other fighter who could attack with such sustained ferocity over 12 / 15 rounds. His fights against guys like Zaragoza, Villasana and Zoomy (first one) were immense, and he was one of the most immaculate inside fighters in history.

If you wanted to make it a nice round ten, then maybe you could also add Dwight Muhammad Qawi and Vicente Saldivar.

Qawi gets labelled as a face-first brawler but he actually had superb skills and worked his way inside brilliantly. Take a look at him walking Saad Muhammad down without taking so much as a half-clean shot for long periods. He never stopped chipping away and was nigh-on impossible to keep on the outside; even when he lost his world titles to Spinks and Holyfield respectively, he gave them both plenty of horrible moments and forced them to fight at close quarters when they didn't want to.

As for Saldivar, he had the knack of starting a little slower but building his pace as a fight wore on, and again he had amazing levels of stamina (he claimed it was due to him having an abnormally slow pulse). Check out his second fight against Howard Winstone for an example of it; one of my favourite fights of all time.

Rocky was on steroids. Clubber didn't have the stamina of an all time great swarmer.

Clubber did not have the stamina, true, likely too heavily muscled.

But Stallone was on steroids, not his character. It was poignant when Stallone said he used to think that he was better than Rocky. Then he realized that now, Rocky was a better man than he was.

Hey this is a very good list of swarmer style fighters although any number can be rearranged in that list. Some hit harder, some hit faster.

Ya I kinda neglected the lower weight classes a bit. Not all my fault though. They don't get the exposure.

Good list of names so far.

Armstrong would have to be #1 on my list.

An honorable mention to a fighter who never had a chance to play out his career to the fullest because of health reasons.

Zach Padilla. Anyone remember this guy from the early 90s? A non stop punching machine.
