i dont understand betting and vcash very well (i usually bet on the best paying option
), but just to help me understand better, am i right in thinking even a winning bet of less than 12 vcash on Helenius would not give any return?

You will get back one twelfth of your bet along with your original bet money. So if you bet 12 vCash, and you won, you would get 13 back. In other words, they are terrible odds. Evens is like 1/1. So if you bet 10, you will get 20 back. And odds like 3/1 are really good odds because a bet of 10 would return 30 and the 10 you bet which is 40. Hope that helps.

Now, why would anyone do such a thing? (or make any non-large bet on a low-paying outcome?) There are scenarios where a discerning bettor might use it to their advantage. If you are VERY sure of the outcome, you can effectively use it as a "bank" to store a certain amount of vCash. Then you place the REST of your funds on something else. If a new thread is created, you get a fresh bank of $75. Then even if you lose your other, bigger bet - you still come out with $75 PLUS whatever you'd invested in the short-payout option (ie your $12 back...or your stake plus meager winnings if you'd bet a but more. That of course assumes that the "sure thing" is in fact a sure thing in reality. |

I've got a cheeky 291 on the past-prime Liakhovich to turn back the clock & pull the big upset...
However, Helenius looks in the best shape of his life, so i'm worried for Sergei. |

I put $100 on Liakhovich to win just because the odds were 9:1...................Sergei can fight really well on the inside and he's shown a good chin. Maybe I'll get lucky.
