Axel Schultz said he thought McBride hit harder than Foreman. But McBride is so slow and ponderous he cannot jump on Golota the way Brewster and Lewis did. Golota is not a good finisher - he should gotten Bowe, Grant, Ruiz out of there. But he won't need to be in this fight. He is lightyears ahead of McBride in ability and boxing skills - even at almost 40. As I said before - McBride looked piss poor in his last fight against a decent prospect people thought he would beat. McBride makes Gerry Cooney look like Rocky Marciano. The last very good Irish heavyweight was Jerry Quarry. Even if McBride got lucky and knocks out Golota he would still be doomed against any of current champions or young lion Povetkim. But I don't think it will happen. It should be entertaining though. Showtime should show this fight as it is on the undercard of Maskaev-Peter. The object should be to entertain the fans and this fight will be a fun (albeit one-sided) fight. But there is no ethnic rivalry element here. The Irish know McBride is a "shite" fighter and only the diehard Polish fans still are interested in Golota. This should be an easy night of work for Andrew Golota. Against anyone else I would be be for Golota but I will NEVER root against an Irishman. Nevertheless I fully expect a Golota victory. Golota really did beat Ruiz and Chris Byrd and got robbed both times. So he really was a champion and could still become one in the wide-open HW division. The only really super fight is Wladimir Klitschko and even he has some weaknesses. So it is all out there for Golota.

I beg to differ!

There's a storm brewing, and it stands 6 foot 8, and has iron in both hands.

But as for McBride, I agree, Golota should nail him fairly early, but I think McBride is a good choice for Golota at this stage. Should be a pretty good fight for a few rounds.

As big a Kevin is, when he falls, I think the ring may split.

Briggs might be next in line in January at MSG.

Buddy will not be Golota trainer for sure.

Roger will make decission early next week.

Briggs is the perfect opponent for Golota. He is big slow, hardly throws punches, and has no staminia. Golota will win that fight easily by just avoiding Briggs's occasional bomb...Briggs does not put a lot of constant pressure on you, which is what Golota has trouble dealing with.

I am a little sad that Buddy is not going to be his trainer. I thought they were a good fit together. And when I met them both at the same time, they certainly seemed to like eachother...Golota even talked about borrowing some of Buddy's t-shirts.

I wonder if King would dare push Golota-McBride back a week so they fight in Chicago on the Diaz-Diaz undercard.

This is gonna one hell of fight and definitely Golota's last stand.
For your information, many if not most Poles HAVE given up on Golota, and I wouldn't be surprised if Golota has more fans in the U.S. than he has in Poland. I'd bet he's the number one heavyweight as far as PPV ratings go.

Dirty or not dirty, Golota took Bowe to school, and retired him with permanent damage... sad.

I doubt it. You can't go wrong with "Golota at the Garden".
