Yeah definitely. Steamboat was real nice but it honestly isn't my favorite Colorado town. You might wanna check out Estes Park and Telluride, those places are even better IMO.

Yeah Golota appeared much quicker than I expected as well. Offensively, I think it was the best I've seen him since possibly the 90s. He was snapping his jab out pretty quickly, landing good combinations (particularly his trademark left hook to the body/left hook to the head). I'd like to see him fight Wlad, no shitting, I'm serious. He'd size up pretty well vs Wlad & if he throws bombs like he did vs Golota, who knows???

Ultimately, following Golota's career and being such a big fan over all was very disappointing. He could have gone so much further in his prime (and without the car accident). But it was still a fun ride and he gave us some very exciting moments. I highly doubt any boxer (or any sportsman for that matter) will give me the kind of rush Golota gave me. The Bowe fights, Corey Sanders fight, the Pouha fight, Nicholson fight, The Grant knock downs, the Byrd fight, the Mollo fight, the ring walks, the week before a Golota fight, the crowd chants of "Andrzej!!!". There is just nothing else like it.

1st time I ever seen of heard of Andrew Golota.

"Night of Upcoming HW's" (was it HBO or USA Network?) & there he was...built like a Sherman Tank & from POLAND! You gotta be kidding me! I'm thinking, does this guy know how to throw punches or is he some Euro bum?

It didn't take long before I knew this guy good rumble as a HW. Huge, nimble, beautiful punching technique, damn! He had it all.

Including a minor flaw that was apparent the moment he bit P'Houha on the neck!

With the exception of being rocked in the 3rd and poor conditioning, I thought Golota schooled Saleta.

I don't know about that man. The thing of it is, once he got winded he took a decently bad beating from what I recall. You can see "that look in his eyes". All Golotaholics know the look.

I have to rewatch it again at some point.

What I remember most is Golota looked 50x better than I was expecting, but my expectations were extremely low.

I'm not especially interested in seeing him fight Wlad. Maybe if he beat someone a couple of steps up from Andrew. I mean I agree with how you started - he showed good killer instinct (combined with good patience) and he truly is in absolutely amazing shape for his age.

But Wlad is leagues above everyone right now, and there are quite a few guys in between Golota and Wlad that I believe would beat Saleta.

Wasn't Oliver McCall calling out Saleta again after he beaT Andrew?
