So true. Sometimes more is too much. It takes time for the body to recover, especially if doing intensive workouts. You've found what works for you and keeps you in better condition and that is a good thing.

when i was training a lot and not really improving it helped to tone down the intensity a bit and study techinque during all exercises (padwork, shadowboxing, slip bag, etc.) and just repeat repeat what you know is right, so you get a solid base of automatic skills. if you are just trying to impress yourself you are bound to hit a dead end.
very good advice. I'm starting to do the same myself

Ignore him (: hes always retarded that way thinking hes funny. Well if you never fight you should see how you go up over there.. Fighting is a completely different thing comparing to sparring.. See how you go there, im not saying if you lose quit but if you lose and you did very well or quite well (depending on who your fighting) then ask your coach to point out the flaws you had.. usually its good to rewatch a video of the fight. If you still feel the training isnt enough then try increasing it by one more day or else on a certain day train twice, if you can handle it try to go as many times as you can in a week, personally i train alot but i was in ur situation. I would train at 3 times a week then i went to 6 and now im at 8 and probably going to increase it again. Hope it helped

Point most people here would agree with is if what you described is true, then you aren't going HAM. If you aren't going HAM then there's your problem.
