They don't boo when they hit the mat... they boo when theyre inactive on the mat. Just the same as two guys standing who arent being active.

Don't act like there isnt boring standup.

You can't run all night though.

Call him a roid monkey or whatever all you want... but in mma.. theres no chance Floyd beats Sherk. None.
Observe carefully, the fellow running is not avoiding the takedown properly nor is he doing it quickly. Mayweather would simply take a quick step back then throw a knee in Shrek's face. Should be ovbvious to anybody that Shrek is wide open to a knee strike if his opponent is clever enough to do it.

Another thing I could mention is that the fellow avoiding the takedown lacks the presense of mind to know where he is relative to the boundaries of the cage. How often have you seen Mayweather accidently bump into the ropes? Although I have not seen all of Chuck Liddel's fights, but I would guess that he rarely runs into the side of the cage.

well ya there is boring standup, but more to my point is that the MMA fights that are usually exciting to me and my buds are ones where they spend way less time on the ground and more time standing and throwing. Sure, some of the wrestling stuff can be alright if you have really skilled people in there who know what they're doing, but more often then not I find the ground game to be pretty lame. The more I think about it, the more it seems that the fans cheer when two fighters are made to stand up, regardless of how good/mediocre the ground fight was. People want to see people slug it out and so that is why I prefer boxing.

Mayweather going to hit him harder than that?

Sherk recovered almost instantly.

And saying youre gonna knee someone in the face and not get taken down is a lot easier said than done.
Eventually Sherk will have his hands on you.. and you will be taking a ride.

Exactly. I can't for the life of me understand why ANYONE would find that rolling around on the ground shit entertaining. And it seems like most don't. Like you say, UFC entertains only when they actually trade punches and FIGHT!!

I was amazed that Mayweather could beat Hatton at his own game. Men who have extraordinary talent can do extraordinary things. Mayweather is not a power puncher, but he got the KO. There is nothing special about Shrek.

just stop saying stupid shit.
Sean Sherk is an animal. He's gigantic for 155. People with takedown defense can't stop his takedown. Floyd ****ing Mayweather aint gonna do it.

If Sherk can CLINCH with Mayweather.. its done.
Thats all it takes. There's no ref to save you. Sherk will push him up against the cage.. and theres nowhere to go.

People act like boxers have some magic touch.. when they get their gloves on you that it.. youre knocked out.
Sorry guys.. thats your fantasy.. that isnt real life. Sherk can take a punch to get the clinch.

For the record.. this is why MMA fans get annoyed by delusional boxing fans.
MMA fans have no delusions about a MMA fighter going into boxing and dominating.
Boxing fans like to think that a boxer would dominate the UFC.

There is no ref to save Shrek from Mayweather's elbows and knees. Mayweather has already proven he can use his elbows, I am willing to bet he can use his knees.

After you get your eyesight checked and new glasses, you will notice that Hatton is obviously faster than Shrek, and Mayweather completely outclassed Hatton in the speed department. 155 pounds of slow, useless muscle won't do Shrek a bit of good against Mayweather.

Sherk is way bigger than mayweather its not fair in terms of natural size. I would like to see Sherk take a punch from julian jackson with 4oz gloves lol.

this is too easy and although i didn't read the whole thread i read more than half and keep hearing how UFC is real fighting or closer to real fighting. That is just sooooo wrong. Both are sports and have rules. If anyone think UFC is real fighting or even close to real fighting, explain this. (Taken from ufc.com)

If indeed those are the rules, then it is plain as day that the rules are NOT enforced. I have watched mma/ufc many times over the years and I have seen nearly every one of the rules that you have listed broken several times during the course of a fight. On only two occasions do I recall the ref warning somebody. This is clearly more evidence that mma/ufc is a fraud.

Which rule do you see being broken all the time?
