Default Frampton beats Quon in 4.

Frampton powers to Commonwealth title

from RTE Sport - 10th September 2011

Carl Frampton produced a brilliant display to win the vacant Commonwealth super-bantamweight title at the Odyssey Arena, beating Mark Quon with a fourth-round stoppage.

Quon was a late replacement for the fight after Kiko Martinez's withdrawal and offered little, showing little in terms of power and aggression against the dominant Frampton.

The 24-year-old was always in charge and finally made it count when he floored the off-balance Quon in the fourth round.

Frampton sensed victory and after a powerful onslaught the referee intervened to hand Frampton the first title of his career.

Speaking after the bout, the home boxer targetted a clash with Martinez for a European title in his next bout.

Quon won't get a better opportunity to win an international title than this. Haven't seen Frampton, but looking at their respective records, Quon should be a real chance here.
CHB , lucky you dont bet, you would be broke by now, your lack of boxing knowledge is vastly evident in your inablility to decifer matchups and their outcomes keep up the good work champ!

My opinion was based only on their similar experience at professional level, and as I clearly stated in my post Dopey:

'Haven't seen Frampton, but looking at their respective records.'

Nice try pathetic little man born for the role of Snow White's 8th drawf...

....but chalk up yet another failure to yourself.

you basicly said you knew fark all about frampton but then go on to say in the same sentence "Quon should be a real chance" you even posted a one of Framptons fights on youtube. you failed to inform yourself of the facts and as such were unable to read the outcome of this fight correctly, its not the first time you have done this nor will it be the last! great work old women, keep it up!

Let's try a 3rd time in the hope it might get through your thick head:

'Haven't seen Frampton, but looking at their respective pro records.'

...wonder how many more times I'll need to post exactly the same thing before it registers Dopey .

so you looked at their records and one of Framptons fights and made a decision based on that alone yet still couldnt see Quon was out of his depth with this one? like i said, you are a moron! lol .. i did the same thing you did however i also looked at Framptons boxing history in the amateurs.

i can see you pickin fights .. that blokes had 5 fights so has the other bloke, fair even fight says CHB, dont worry if one of them has had over 100 amateur fights and is one of best prospects to come out of dublin hahaha! moron.

Exactly right, and at 33, Quon won't get too many chances like that.

Well done to quon for having a crack on short notice against a touted prospect. Barry mcguigan picked frampton out of the ams and manages him.

This was the comparison I based my pre-fight comment on Dopey Ty:

Quon's record going into the fight - see below - was 15 fights experience, for 11 wins, 3 losses and a draw:

Frampton's record going into the fight - see below -was 10 fights experience, for 10 wins.

So let's try it for the 5th time shall we Dopey:

What about the video you posted of Framptons fight? coincidently left that out of your comparision? it was right before ya eyes and you still couldnt pick it old woman a simple google search would have revealed to you that Framptons amateur experiance compared to Quons was massive and Quon was way out of his league. i doubt this would have helped your pick for the fight as i already mention it was right before your eyes and you failed to see it.

just goes to prove you are one of the best armchair experts on this forum!
