Just wondered about it since it seemed likely, if Golota had got the nod over Byrd. Golota fought Ruiz afterwards.

Byrd beat Vitali on 8 days notice. I don't know about this one. It would be closer than a lot of people think though.

Byrd was a level above ruiz in his prime. However his prime ended the night of his biggest victory against holyfield. He declined steadily from that moment, but not enough to lose to the quiet man.

He really lost to Oquendo and I thought McClein beat him by a point I also felt Golota beat him and Ruiz

I had him beating fast fres and big time. I felt a draw was fair against andrew also.
