Default If Floyd Doesn't Rematch Ortiz Immediately, Then I Could See Floyd Fighting...

...Saul "Canelo" Alvarez next.

I have never, ever seen Alvarez look as bad as he did tonight. And The Contender (Alfonso Gomez) made him look that way! Unreal.

I like Alvarez a lot, but he's performed better. And, Canelo is a big-time, undefeated, Latino cash cow just sitting out there.

If you're Floyd, you have to think you could take this fight fairly easily and pick up a whole bunch of big coin doing so.

I do think there is a good chance of a Mayweather-Ortiz II, but I would not be stunned to see Mayweather-Alvarez sometime soon, either.

You must not watch a lot of boxing.

Mayweather's most recent opponents:
Ortiz - coming off the greatest win of his career
Mosley - coming off a huge dominant upset
Marquez - coming off an exciting KO victory over a younger fighter

emmanuel's most recent opponents:
Mosley - had a very wtf performance against Mora
marg - came off an unimpressive win against a nobody
Clottey - I'm not even going to start. This guy is a joke.

Floyd fights you coming off great wins unlike emmanuel.

No one wants to see Ortiz get knocked out again.

Floyd may go after Berto since Pac is going for Bradley. We'll see No way they feed Alvarez to Floyd, he will get embarassed.

PBF would school Canelo. GBP wouldn't put their cash cow in there with PBF no way.

HUGE money could be made off that fight. But, you might be right: They may want to protect Alvarez for the future.

If Mayweather-Alvarez were held in Mexico, that fight would do an insane gate and huge PPV, I think.

It's a good point, but Alexander has to be "rehabbed" first before he could face Floyd, IMO. Maybe in a couple of fights down the line?
