15 (about $23)- for Morales, Alvarez vs Gomez and May vs Ortiz is worth it.

I don't think so. Morales fought Cano who had 74 total rounds in his career as a professional. Ortiz was not in Mayweather's class. No way was that card worth 60 or 70 dollars. The fight with Pacman was possible since both guys are at the weight.

If anyone has any numbers though lets hear them.
1.9 , wtf. I'd be surprised if this does more then 1.2

1.3 is a ****ing great number fighting a guy like Ortiz, who'd never been on PPV and who's only claim to fame was a win over Berto and the Maidana quit job. This is why Mayweather won't fight Pac. He does just as well financially fighting under Golden Boy against their hyped fighters they line up for him who don't stand a chance of beating him.

our ppv money doesnt go to the fighters, primetime paid a fixed fee for the fight and every sale they make they keep.

On undercards yes, I don't remember him having been involved as a headliner in a PPV. He was no proven PPV draw is what I'm getting at. So Ortiz in his first PPV, if I'm right, did 1.3 million. Amazing

i'm confused.. So pac/marquez 3 is the most competitive fight for Pac. I mean marquez did ko (insert bum here).. I'm sold on that super competitve top rank masterpiece.

Ah. I see what you mean now. 1.3 would only be a little less than May-Mosley, wouldn't it? Considering Shane-Mosley-Is-Not-a-PPV-Draw, that would be pretty good.

Mosley had hi-profile PPV fights prior, beating DLH, against Cotto, Vargas... casuals knew his name, knew who he was.

Mosley's debut PPV was his first fight with DLH I believe... he was P4P top 10, had a great lightweight career, and it did 600k. 2nd fight did just 975K (2nd highest non-heavy PPV ever at the time).

Mosley was traditionally a good PPV dancing partner, and was always going to sell well with Mayweather and Pac.

Ortiz doing almost as much basically off of one win on HBO WCB is testament to the power of 24/7 and the hype it can generate.
