Interesting find!
Peggy Bettinson the chairman/ promoter of the NSC in Covent Garden offered Johnson 3000 to fight Langford, Johnson to pay his own expenses, not surprisingly he turned it down, he insisted he wanted $30,000, the same as Burns had received when he defended against him.

That's a tough-looking bunch of fighters. To think that Byers was a middleweight, but looks like a heavyweight next to Langford who resembles a thicker Floyd Mayweather in the picture.
