I agree the warrior in him doesn't make him a better fighter and even though i am a huge fan of froch i really do have my reservations about him beating ward. However, madder things have happened and since we are now in agreement that Froch is no hype job it shouldn't come as a surprise if he gets to ward.

For me Ward is still on the green side and is gaining experience whilst fighting quality opposition. Froch will bring something he hasn't dealt with before and lets face it Ward is skillfull whilst having weaknesses like all fighters do.

Taylor is a great athlete but he's not so skilled. His footwork, for one, is average. Same thing for Dirrell. Being fast is not being skilled. In my book, Ward is the most skilled of the tournament and he's going to the final.

So Ward wants Kessler and Froch wants Kessler.

Looks like we'll see a rematch after the s6 final then.

I guess that both Froch and Ward sees Kessler as a fighter on the slide and they want to be the one who puts him away.

I'm a fan of both fighters. No bias either way. I am 100% certain that in order to avoid a KO loss Carl would have to borrow my magnum.

I have respect for the boxer Froch is, I mean, he faced the toughest competition and has, for now, the best resume as far as opponents. But, if there is one guy I want Bute to face and punish real bad, I mean, shut is trap by knocking is ass to the floor, well, you guest it. By saying Bute is an easy fight is complete disrespect and I hope he lives to face the boxing world and explain why in hell he got ko by Bute. He gives himself credit for beating Johnson, but he said he took all that was left in him, so even if Bute destoys Johnson, he won't credit him for doing so. I hope Froch wins the fucking Super 6 and has to face Bute, then we will see who is not a tough fight.

Froch vs. Hopkins, I'd like to see that.

Bute easy fight for Froch.................he should rewatch the tape of his fights with Taylor an Dirrell......

Crotch is out of his mind, as usual.

Sure, he’s fought some tough back-to-back fights, but in all brutal honesty, he’s not been very impressive in them. A little fortunate to get the win in his first Super Six fight (as disgraceful as Dirrell was, at times), loses the next one to a one-eyed Kessler, punches a punch-bag for 12 rounds (hailed as a masterful display of boxing ), before being given a safe semi-final against an old, drained Glen Johnson – a man who, was a formidable opponent when Froch was to face him, but is now a cherry pick and a weak challenge for Bute (according to Froch himself and some of his supporters).

He’s a tough cookie, and a gutsy fighter, but that’s about it. Ward will reveal everything if it hasn’t been already. So excuse me for not butt-kissing him like the rest of you are .
i take offence to you saying im but kissing...im certainly not butt kissing..and i agree with you on some points..but a hype job??come on man no way hes a hype job

Apologies for that.

And if you refer to post #39, I don't quite feel comfortable calling him a "hypejob". That's not entirely correct. I just feel that, in the past year or so, his deficiencies have been forgotten far too easily. These were on full display when he was outboxed by JT, struggled badly with AD, and lost clearly to MK. Then suddenly, he beats on an abysmal Abraham, and is transformed into one the world’s finest fighters ? Sure, a lot of people were expecting it to be a competitive war, but not many foresaw the worthlessness of Abraham – which ultimately made Froch look like Floyd friggin’ Mayweather. Like I said, people on ESB have very short memories. Bring on December. I can’t wait. Ward won’t be an immobile punch-bag that’s scared to let his hands go, or a slow-plodding robot, or a feebly structured fighter that gasses in the second half.

True. At the beginning of this tournament, I was always intrigued by a Ward-Froch matchup. I believed that Froch - outside of Dirrell - would give Ward his toughest fight.

Bute is nowhere near as awkward as Taylor or Dirrell. Nowhere near.

I'd think Taylor/Bute would be a very, very close fight even now. Bute simply isn't that good.

Froch beats Bute IMO, but by no means is it an easy fight.
