If Floyd beats Sergio at 158 Floyd will be the Greatest of all time, and Paquao will have to forever forget being called a star of this generation.

Its hard to beat Pac's resume when he has 3 ATG like Marquez Morales and Barrera.

Although Martinez is very good, I don't think it would put him above PAC unless if he beats PAC, and then Martinez... there would be an arguament over Mayweather being ranked higher then PAC in that sceneraio..

Without a doubt. Would be even greater if he challenged him at 160. If you want to be the MW champion fight at MW.

Floyd is not , granted , Mayweather does put on clinical displays of boxing / timing / accuracy / defensive work etc etc etc but for me , what Pacquiao is achieving , is more impressive than what Floyd is achieving

Top Prank turn down the Maravilla fight at 154 so yes ,when he KO PW they said hell Fawking no!!!!! and that's fact.

How many ATG does Floyd have on his resume? (Serious question I don't feel like trying to go to BoxRec...

How many titles in different weight class does PBF have? Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it:

Pac = 8
ODLH = 6
Floyd = 5

Is it quantity or quality we are looking at..... It's been proven that most of Pac's last few fights have been against people coming off of losses...and it doesn't help the JMM dude got hit, fell down, closed his eyes and then passed out...lolol

I hate catchweight title fights and wouldn't consider him the middleweight champion(pactards can piss off when they mention Manny's "belts" at 147 and 154). But it would be an impressive win over the former 154 fighter.

but wait a minute, how would the MW Championship be on the line? Chavez holds the belt. Would Sulaiman strip him?

No. One big win does not equal to a much greater career, even if you wish to argue that the quality of that one win is greater than any single win in the careers of two individuals. In this case, between that of Pacquiao and Mayweather.

In terms of legacy, if Floyd were to fight Martinez and win at 160 (though I won't subtract too much credit for a bout at 155+), I'd rate that as one of only one of three great wins, performance and opponent considered. Many of Floyd's performances have been great, but the opponent was not. Therefore, the win was not great.

Additionally, Floyd has been a Welterweight for many years. Despite being called "small" by many of his fans, his body has had time to mature. Sergio has been a Welterweight slashe Super Welterweight until recently when he transitioned to Middleweight. Thus, given all of the rapid changes Pacquiao made in recent years, we would need to evaluate the "size factor" in context. Yes, Sergio is an excellent opponent with size which poses an added threat. In terms of incremental change over X interval from the perspective of the boxer in question and the comparison between siad boxer and his opponent, we must take the size disparities Pacquiao has faced to be of more significance.
